I was notified last week that my painting “Medley of Onions” has actually won the Still Life Award at the 2nd annual Scottsdale Salon!
Yesterday I received this lovely framed certificate, and a check! (Or cheque, as my friends to the north would write…)

There were so many beautiful paintings, I’m honored to have been chosen. Thank you so much to Peter Trippi, editor of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, and to Legacy Gallery for hosting such a wonderful show.

I am so pleased to share the news that I am now represented by Camilla Richman Fine Arts, in Osterville, MA. (They’re currently working on their website – stay tuned!)
Camilla and her husband Jim run the gallery in addition to their framing business next door – The Artistic Framer. Jim is also a fantastic photographer.
Osterville, MA is an interesting place – it is a village of Barnstable, and used to be called Oysterville, but due to a misspelling, became Osterville. When I heard that, I knew I just had to paint some oysters. I’m really digging them – they’re such a contrast between crusty outer shell, pearlescent inside, and creamy oyster flesh. I also have a rockin seafood market just at the base of the mountain, and they have been great in supplying me with and helping me open them – I don’t really wish to lose any fingers for the sake of my art!
Camilla and Jim are terrific folks, and I’m so happy to be working with them.
Here’s a couple of recent paintings that are available at their gallery.

Beer and Oysters • 16x20" oil on linen

Pair of Oysters - 5x7" oil on linen panel

Garlic cloves - 5x7" oil on linen panel
