I’ve been dealing with computer issues (an overheating and crashing laptop) as well as being in a mental funk, so I haven’t painted in what seems like forever.

Today I finally got back to the easel, with a fun sketch of an avocado half. I have to be very careful with this in my studio, because avocado is poisonous to birds. My parakeet Pete is insistent on trying out everything on my still life stand, and does not like being locked up.

None of us do, Pete.
