Auction paintings have just been completed when posted for auction, so they will need to dry for a week or two before they can be mailed out. They are unframed, and packaged and mailed in a bubble envelope.

I guess eggs were such a popular painting subject in historical/old master art because many artists used egg yolks in their paint, so they were a ubiquitous studio item.
They’re deceptively difficult to paint – lots of colors, smooth transitions, and hard, very defined edges. I find them to be a good (and challenging) exercise.
